The SNL parody
Young Bae’s name was probably used because Akdong Musician’s original line in the commercial was “Doo-Bae-Ga Doi” meaning “To become doubled.” (Referring to double points, and using the word “Bae”)
In the parody, Jay Park recites and sings a little of LOAM’s lyrics and then they sing “Young-Bae-Ga-Doi” meaning “To become Young Bae” – spoofing the tag line of the original commercial – and turned it into a dance academy CF. (The singers are repeating : “become youngbae, dong young bae, youngbae, dancing machine youngbae. Dong Young Bae!”)
