- SEUNGRI reveals the making-of-the-album video this afternoon
- The title song ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ completed in one day
BIGBANG’s SEUNGRI described his recently released 2nd solo mini album ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’ an album full of “surprises.”
Today (August 23), the making-of-the-album video of SEUNGRI’s 2nd mini album ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’ was revealed on YG’s official blog (www.yg-life.com).
On August 19, a meaningful day for all BIGBANG members marking their 7th anniversary, SEUNGRI released his 2nd album. In the making-of-the-album video, fans will be able to enjoy behind-the-scenes of SEUNGRI’s writing, composing and production of all the songs.
The album won high praises not only from the founder of YG Entertainment, YANG HYUN SUK, but also from YG’s main producer Teddy and the rest of BIGBANG members. To SEUNGRI, it is an album that he filled with what he wanted to express until now, hence the description ‘full of surprises’.
In the revealed video, SEUNGRI comments, “By challenging something new, there was a great transformation taking place within myself. Now that I turned 24, I thought that I could talk about love, so I came up with the album title ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’ to express different meanings that love holds.”
The title song ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ was made in just one day, after SEUNGRI simply listening to the chords and giving it the title it has now. Immediately after he titled it, he came up with the theme and completed the song. Composer Ham Seung Cheon and Kang Wook Jin mention how hard SEUNGRI worked on this album, paying tribute to his passionate work.
SEUNGRI describes that it was as if he was ‘pulled into something by force’ when he was working on this album. He put in a lot of thoughts on how to make a transformation, and he is satisfied with what he has as a result.
Meanwhile, his song ‘GOTTA TALK TO U’ is performing excellently—apart from sweeping away major music websites in South Korea straight after its release, it has already topped 8 iTunes around the world. Yesterday he performed his comeback show on Mnet’s M Countdown, and will now be moving on to appear on different music programs like MBC’s Show! Music Center and SBS’s Inkigayo.
