ZE:A’s Kwanghee and Siwan were lucky enough to have a meal with three YG Entertainment ladies!
On May 30, Kwanghee posted the above photo with Siwan, 2NE1′s Park Bom and Minzy, and Lee Hi as well as the message, “Long time no see!” The five look like they’re having a good time at what fans have said is a wedding banquet.
Netizens commented, “Kwanghee and Siwan are close to female celebrities,” “I want to eat with them too,” “They look happy,” and more.
Wonder what they talked about?
Although they seem charming on stage, many idols have been assisted in creating their images. According to image consultant Han Gyu Ri, celebrities she had consulted received assistance on how to magnify their presence on stage. From artists such as BIGBANG, Girls’ Generation, 2NE1, Lee Hi, and Kang Seung Yoon, Han Gyu Ri has helped singers to shine on stage while complimenting their members.
Furthermore, image consultants aren’t only responsible for physical looks, but they help singers improve in cultural understanding, etiquette, and inner aspects. For instance, Han Gyu Ri revealed the story of Gong Minzy, who had to be helped in becoming familiar with performing in heels. As the 2NE1 member had practiced performing in tennis shoes from such a young age, Minzy was given ways in which she could get used to wearing heels while she danced.
When audition shows produced singers such as Lee Hi and Kang Seung Yoon, such contestants needed more assistance due to their lack of preparation as compared to experienced trainees. Thus, for Lee Hi and Kang Seung Yoon, their image making consisted of emphasizing the ‘singer’ image rather than that of an extravagant celebrity image. However, for veteran girl group Girls’ Generation, each member received advice to help shine on stage through their own charms, while at the same time being able to compliment the other members.
The efforts put in to create your favorite idols consists of behind the story work by image consultants who have successfully helped with forming distinct idol images.
[OSEN=권지영 기자] The Japan Tour of 2014 YG FAMILY Concert kicked off in great success.
On April 12, the 2014 YG FAMILY CONCERT held in Japan’s Osaka Kyocera Dome ended in huge success, joined by 50,000 fans. The concert showcased YG artists including BIGBANG, 2NE1, EPIK HIGH, LEEHI, WINNER and WIN’s TEAM B.
2NE1 opened the concert with their dynamic “CRUSH.” It was followed by their debut song “FIRE” and then the title song of the 2nd full album “COME BACK HOME,” and moved on to sing “GOTTA BE YOU.”
The baton was then handed to the newbie group WINNER. They performed the Japanese version of “GO UP” and their own version of 2NE1’s “MISSING YOU,” firing up the fans.
EPIK HIGH, who was next on stage, left a powerful impression on the local fans by singing “FLY,” “LOVE LOVE LOVE,” and “DON’T HATE ME.”
When BIGBANG appeared on stage, the concert hall was filled with gold color. The members who were joined by 770,000 fans at their Japan’s 6 largest Dome Tour from last year to early this year, looked experienced in communicating with the local fans. They showcased their hit songs like “HARU HARU,” “BLUE,” and “FANTASTIC BABY.”
Performing in Japan for the first time, LEEHI caught the attention of the fans by “ROSE” and “1,2,3,4”.
But the highlight of the concert was the collaboration performances of YG artists. Each work was unique, more than enough to leave the audience in awe.
WINNER and WIN’s TEAM B performed “JUST ANOTHER BOY” together, which was the final mission of the survival program WHO IS NEXT: WIN. G-DRAGON and CL performed “THE BADDEST MALE” and “MTBD” while BIGBANG’s T.O.P, WINNER’s SONG MIN HO and 2NE1’s DARA fired up the stage with a collaborated “DOOM DADA.”
The concert that showcased 40 songs in total gave a dynamic finale with YG’s biggest hit songs including PSY’s “GANGNAM STYLE,” 2NE1’s “GO AWAY” and BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY.”
The “2014 YG FAMILY CONCERT” will be held again on April 13 at Osaka Kyocera Dome, and will be followed by Tokyo Dome on May 3 and 4. It will expand to Korea, China and other Asian regions, and the concert venues will be announced soon.

[스포츠동아 = 정준화] YG Entertainment made the decision to include WIN’s TEAM B (B.I, KIM JIN HWAN, BOBBY, KOO JUN HOE, KIM DONG HYUK & SONG YUN HYEONG) in YG FAMILY’s Japan tour.
The agency announced on April 11 that TEAM B will be joining YG FAMILY’s Japan concerts that are to be held on April 12 and 13 at Osaka Kyocera Dome.
TEAM B has been polishing their musical talents as trainees since losing by a few points to A TEAM on YG’s survival program “WIN: WHO IS NEXT.”
The decision is deemed quite rare in the history of South Korean pop music, as TEAM B will be performing at YG FAMILY’s Japan Dome Tour that will attract 40,000 fans per concert—all of this taking place even before making an official debut.
The reason for YG’s urgently made decision is that the survival program “WIN” drew high popularity from Japanese fans who take up a big portion of YG fans.
WINNER, who won the show, performed in front of 700,000 fans when they appeared as guests for BIGBANG’s Japan Dome Tour. The upcoming event will be the first official one for TEAM B.
YG commented, “Since TEAM B does not have a debut song yet, he will collaborate with other artists and of course, will work together with their former competitor WINNER—but as close friends this time.”
YG FAMILY concert to be held for the first time in 3 years will be joined by 700,000 fans. Along with BIGBANG, EPIK HIGH and LEE HI, 2NE1 will be joining in the midst of their World Tour.
As additional groups WINNER, whose debut is coming up, and TEAM B are included this time, the scale of the concert will be quite different to that of the concert 2 years ago.
The areas where YG FAMILY concert will be held are to be announced soon as well.

YG Entertainment’s AKDONG MUSICIAN(AKMU) has hit the executive home run following LEEHI.
AKMU and LEEHI met YG in SBS “I LOVE SUNDAY”’s survival audition show “K-POP STAR”. LEEHI was the runner-up of the season 1 of the show, and AKMU was the winner of the season 2. After appearing in the audition, they joined YG Family.
Those young artists are gaining success, making their debut album a great hit. LEEHI made her official debut before AKMU and she is known as the most outstanding singer produced from “K-POP STAR”. Now, AKMU is following LEEHI’s footsteps, creating sensation and receiving rave review for their music.
LEEHI met YANG HYUN SUK, when she competed in the season 1 of “K-POP STAR” in 2012. At that time, she won high praises from judges, for her uniquely appealing and soulful vocal, which was rather unexpected for such a young girl.
After taking the second place in “K-POP STAR 1”, LEEHI officially debuted through YG and every song she has released so far took a top place in music charts. Her debut song “1,2,3,4” swept the music scene for three weeks, taking the No.1 of all the music charts and music shows in Korea by the storm. Then, “It’S OVER”, one of the double title tracks of her first solo album, also succeeded in sweeping the charts, which made LEEHI be called a “monster rookie”. Then, “ROSE” released in March last year also swept charts within three hours from its release, living up to the high expectations for LEEHI.
AKMU is also creating sensation, after disclosing their debut album “PLAY” at noon on the 7 this month. AKMU took the No.1 of nine music charts including Korea’s biggest music website Melon, Bugs, and Soribada, within two hours from the release of the music. Plus, all the songs included in the album are placed in top places on charts. Such an achievement is all the more meaningful, since all the songs in the album were written by LEE CHAN HYUK. AKMU’s uniquely healthy and innocent music is catching the ears of listeners.
AKMU is creating sensation not only in Korea but also in foreign countries. After releasing their debut album, AKMU has taken the No.1 of iTunes album chart in five countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore.
Meanwhile, AKMU is giving a live performance titled “AKMU PLAY IN CAFE” through NAVER Music, in the afternoon on the 9 at a café located in Seoul.
