Rookie idol group BTS made a splash at its debut showcase, and it has its sights set high on becoming the best in the K-Pop world.
BTS performed its debut single No More Dream, a 90s gangster rap-inspired track, at the showcase, held at the Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul on June 12, where the members showed off what was three years in the making as well as opened up about its role models.
Member Rap Monster said, “We really respect Big Bang” and added that the members have been keep up with and learning a lot from the popular idol group’s promotions.
Member Jimin said he looks up to Big Bang’s Taeyang, in particular, while Jung Kook and Jin cited G-Dragon and T.O.P, respectively, as major influences.
The members have garnered interest for participating in the album’s production, from composing to songwriting, and the highly-anticipated debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool was released on June 12.
