After releasing the music video for “Gotta Be You,” 2NE1 will reportedly follow up with another release for “Crush.”
On May 27, Billboard posted an interview with the four ladies of 2NE1, where they discussed their most memorable and favorite music videos.
“For me, the video I remember the most is ‘Can’t Nobody,’” said Minzy. “We filmed it for a week. The music video I like the most is ‘I Am The Best.’”
During this segment of the interview, CL gave a very interesting answer to the question.
“The video I remember the most is our Japanese version of ‘Crush,’ which we filmed yesterday. It’s still fresh in my memory.”
This came as a surprise to many fans, as previously YG had announced that 2NE1′s new album will only be released in Japan, in Korean.
“Although 2NE1 previously released the Japanese versions of their songs in Japan, for this album, we will release it as is in Korean,” wrote YG
Entertainment on March 5th. “Among the local representatives who listened to the Korean album, their response was positive towards the original version so we decided to release it as is.”
So, is this a music video for the Japanese version of “Crush,” or a Japanese music video for the Korean version of the song?
Either way, Blackjacks are excited, as “Crush” remains one of the most talked-about tracks off of the eponymous album. The video of their live concert performance alone has nearly 3 million views on YouTube.
